weekend warriors

This weekend the hub’s brother and sister in law came down to visit us.  We had a wonderful time of practice training, triathlon, good food, dinner out, church, family in town, little bit of shopping, Frisbee, selling a car (not ours) and just all around hanging out.

Our Triathlon went really well this year!! Last year we trained to complete the Westside YMCA Tri and this year we used it as a check point as we train for our Olympic Distance Tri at the end of August.

The Race was a 200yd swim (8 lengths) with a short jog to the timing pad, then a 12K bike and a 4k run.

11-07-09%2520Westside%2520Y%2520084Mike placed 3rd in the 25-29 age group, finishing in 42:20, 21st over all!  He improved by about 4 minutes from last year and will be quite a contender as his training and experience both increase! Congrats Babe!

Thanks to Bethany for all the wonderful pictures!  Here is the album.  Enjoy.

The group shot is a picture of the group we train with through Fleet Feet Sports!  We have become close with them really quickly and love that we are training in a group.  The hubs can train with people that challenge him and I can as well.  Our coach, Shahin, is in the white hat on the right.  He’s a beast and totally awesome.  He has helped the hubs and I a ton with our technique!

=) Have a wonderful week!

I think Brad realizes he is not as fit as he could be. Watch out if he decides to do it next year!
