now that’s a wrap

So each year I like to “theme” my wrapping paper for Christmas gifts. Usually, I buy one roll of paper and then multiple rolls of ribbon in different patterns and sizes. I like the way the present pile turns out and its fun trying to figure out how I can make the same paper and ribbon combination look different depending on the way I tie the ribbon.

This year… in an attempt to decide what theme to use, I thought I would search for some inspiration and share my findings with yall. None of my ideas are this extravagant but it’s always fun to dream.

I really love this, but it’s way more than I’m willing to invest in wrapping paper that just gets torn off.

After much searching, I think these are my favorite.  I like the way they look with the layering of patterns and colors. I think I’ll buy a large roll of the brown packing paper and use that as my base. Then layer on a small scraps of paper I have hanging around the house from years past. Then use raffia for the ribbon. All cheap options, but the combination of them will allow for a rather creative looking present pile this year!

  6. I do the same thing! My favourite year was the time I bought spare scrabble letters and made gift tags with everyone's first name on it :) It was soooo fun!
