A not so typical grocery store outing

One day there was this cute lady driving her blue pick up truck from the grocery store. She was on her way to her last and final stop and thought, “hum… it will not be good if I leave the meat in the truck while I go to Kroger. I will stop by the house and put it in the fridge and continue on my way to my last and final destination.”

The pretty lady pulled into the garage, unloaded the meats and cold things, fed the dog and was backing the truck out, when ALL OF A SUDDEN… WHAM! The garage door lands on the bed of the pick up truck. Without peeing in her pants, the lovely lady jumps out of her truck to find that, in fact, the garage door has landed on the bed of the truck. She uses her strong muscles to push the door back up and proceeds to pull the truck back into the garage to asses the damage. THANKFULLY, no damage was done to the truck at all nor to the garage door.

The little lady said to herself, “self… you did not push the button to close the garage… mike was not coming up the street and trigger the door… what happened?” Well.. the precious lady called her understanding husband, who was still on his way home, to let him know that there was something wrong with the door and while on the phone….

… low and behold… discovered that she had shut the emergency release cord in the truck door!! So when the absent minded lady back out of the garage, it disengaged the door and caused it to come crashing down!!

Moral of the story… Do not close the emergency release pull in your door - it will cause the door to fall…tie up the emergency pull so that this event does not occur again… and always go to the bathroom before you leave the house, just incase some crazy event like this happens again - you will not pee in your pants =)

 

Luckily no one and nothing was injured in this crazy event and while I may have one more gray hair growing on my head… this should not happen again!!
